I really am loving this weather, but when you have the fire alarm go off in your place of work and you have to stand outside in it for 30 minutes, it is not so good! Yes, we had another fire alarm go off today. At least I am only on the 6th floor. I didn't bring a coat to work since I was just walking from the car to the office -- or so I thought. I am wearing long sleeves, but very thin material. I did borrow a jacket, but I was still freezing! There was no fire, but an alarm was tripped. Fun, fun. And then we have to come back into the building and all go through security again. So, 9 floors worth of people try to squeeze back through the metal detector and the x-ray machine. My toes are now finally thawed!
I found out today that I am going to San Antonio next week for a training thing so I am going through the process of working with the travel department and getting a corporate card. Hopefully it won't be too much of a hassle! I will only be gone Tuesday and Wednesday, but it will be good to meet the big players in the National Office training group.
