Argh!!

Okay, the week has been crazy. First of all, though, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON!!!! My "baby" brother turned 29 today. Yipes!!!

So, Monday had way too much drama at work. I was looking out the window and I saw a firetruck and ambulance pull up. Then another fire truck, and then 3 more more firetrucks. Oh, and then 2 Homeland Security Police cars......... what the frick is going on?????? I am looking on line, calling Mike asking if there is anything on the news -- nothing!!! So, well, I guess we'll just keep looking out the window. The firemen rope off the area -- yeah, not a good sign -- and then move back about 100 feet. Um..... what about us???? Turns out there are some "suspicious" packages outside our building. Wow, that is a new one for me!! The bomb squad comes out and I get to watch the bomb robot. Actually, kind of cool. However, my favorite was the guy in the blue hazmat suit. He (or she, couldn't tell!!) looked like an alien. They closed off the block, closed our parking lot, and all this was still going on about 3:15. I am trying to figure out at what point do I need to call Ryan to let him know I was stuck.... I called him and then 10 minutes later they opened the streets. So, yeah, I went to work out. It was weird -- it was pretty stressful seeing all this going on outside the window but I guess inside I felt things were going to be okay. And it was. We really had to joke about it, but it is very scary to see these things happening outside the window. I did like Mom's comment "Why are you still in the building?". I couldn't tell you why we didn't evacuate........... but I just trusted they knew what they were doing!!!

Tuesday I drove to San Antonio for a meeting with Valero for some training incentives that we have going on. The meeting went well, but it was raining on my way home today!! I left San Antonio at 2:30 and got home at 7:45. Austin traffic was nuts, rain was nuts and I really just wanted a transporter to take me from there to here. I am definitely happy to be home. It is, however, time for bed. Yes, I realize it isn't even 9 yet. I am tired.

Later!!!
