Just felt like throwing a y'all out there :).
This past weekend I went to a Halloween party which was a total blast. I have figured out you are never to old to act the fool on that one night of the year! I wasn't inspired by any of the costumes but ended up decided on a Greek Goddess outfit. Looked pretty darn good :). Sunday, though, was spent recuperating.
This week has started off pretty good. Nothing huge to report. I did find something strange at the gym -- a DJ. Yeah, a DJ playing the music. Hey it was good but it was very weird. I wonder if it is a Halloween thing??? I guess I will see on Nov. 1!!!
Okay, I am going to say good bye now. Need to run!
Later!

Pokes head out and waves.........
I am still here! I am still alive!! I have been having the most bizarre 2 weeks -- everything seems to be calming down, but man, all I want to do tonight is hibernate. I plan to lock the door, put on the DVR and watch the shows I missed this past week. I am almost caught up, so I will be watching a few over again. "The Office" was really good this week and I thought very touching. So, I will watch that again. And I have a new addiction -- "Gossip Girl". I LOVE that show. It comes on after "Top Model" on the CW. It is pretty well acted and scripted. Yeah, it is about teenagers in Manhattan, but it actually has adult characters that are well written too. I have found that is the problem with my DVR. I can become addicted to shows that I normally wouldn't have watched in the first place. They seem interesting, I record them and then fall in love with them. And "Chuck" is great too, by the way. The guy who plays Chuck is adorable and well, it is well written. I tend to laugh every time I see it.
Oh good news on the work front. I found out yesterday I am getting an award at my company. My name gets announced at the Awards ceremony and I get a certificate and pen. Oh, and I am told money. Not sure how much, but I am really actually just happy for the recognition. I don't get to go to the ceremony -- its on a Monday night, I think, in VA. But, I'm cool with that. The Project Manager here said he is going to do something with our group. Looking forward to it :). I don't get it until November, but hey, I am still very happy.
Well, that is all I am going to share for now :). Everyone have a great weekend. Please keep my aunt in your thoughts and prayers. She is going through some super intense medical issues right now and definitely needs them.

The Weekend In Review
Well, what happened this weekend......:) Yeah, I can't even keep that going! This past weekend was Jen's fabulous wedding. I swear, I spent most of the weekend in happy tears. I took Friday off to get all pretty and hit the Nail Bar with Jen, Mia and her mom. Mimosas and beauty... what else could you ask for? And then, I spent the day with Jen. And let me tell you, it was very special. I didn't feel like I did too much, but apparently having me there helped keep the happy bride calm. Glad I was good for something :). The first time I saw the dress "live", I was about to lose it. I had seen pictures, but seeing it in her parent's house made it seem all to real. The rehearsal and following dinner were fun as well. I love Angela's house and backyard and any party back there is a blast!
Saturday was the big day! I was at the church at 2, we got all dressed and had pictures done. I LOVED my dress and shoes and could have just run around in them all day!!! And all that working out did pay off :). But the first time I saw Jen in her dress, I was teary eyed. She looked so beautiful. The dress was perfect for her. The time came to walk down the aisle and truthfully, I was trying to hold it together. Half way down I felt the tears hit. Then up at the alter, I had a hard time holding it together. And then came the time for her to walk down the aisle. I couldn't see her but I watched David. And then I almost lost it again. His face changed when he saw her and you could tell that his true soulmate was coming down the aisle. I can't really explain it but it was amazing. It was such a short and sweet ceremony. 20 minutes! Which was good -- because even though I loved the shoes, they were hurting the heck out of me just standing there!!!!
The reception was held at the City Club in Ft Worth -- we had a blast. I told Jen I was going to steal the idea for the mashed potato bar and her DJ Melody. The DJ was awesome!!! We danced and danced into the night. I was so sore on Sunday morning! I got home about 2 am but it was so worth it. I hope the newlyweds have fun in Jamaica!!!! Now, for the rest of us, it is back to normal life. I went to Palamino tonight to hang out with Michelle -- however I missed the end of the Monday Nite football game. I guess that's cool since I barely knew who was playing anyway :).
So, I am off to bed! Have a great Tuesday!!!
