I have decided I am crazy

I went to a meeting with a personal trainer at 24 Hour Fitness this afternoon. After reviewing goals and allowing him to take measurements, I thought it was a good idea to sign up. Actually, it is one of the best things I could have done for myself. We did a little bit of the core stretches and exercises today and I am already sore. I can't imagine what I will feel like after a full workout with this guy.But I feel great and ready to take on the world! I will be getting more out of the gym membership too. We start Tuesday, so I will probably go in tomorrow and scope things out alone. I have this feeling he is going to kill me, but if I can survive 2 1/2 years of mental stress with school, I can survive this. And I will reduce stress and be a hotty :-).

I saw Rent yesterday. I was not disappointed. I thought they did a great job of adapting the stage musical to a movie musical. There were parts were I was wondering where they were going with the way they did it, but it all panned out in the end. Idina Menzel is my new favorite actress/singer. She is STUNNING and has the most beautiful voice. Plus, she is married to Taye Diggs. How did the girl get so lucky? :-). The songs were still powerful and I felt the movie still sent the message that the stage version portrayed. Okay, so it isn't going to be as powerful as the stage version (especially since I got to see it on the 3rd row -- yes, bragging :-)). But it was fantastic and I could feel the cast reaching to me through the screen. I was surprised when 3 people walked out of the show. I kept thinking, didn't you know what this was about to begin with!!! They made no secrets of the content of the movie. Anyway, I do recommend the movie, especially if you are a fan of the stage version. And I had no idea Jesse L. Martin ("Law and Order") had such a powerful voice. Man, he almost had me in tears at one point!!!

Okay, it is Sunday night and I am going to do some winding down. Get myself prepared for the coming week. I am in a new mindset, have new goals and a new trainer, so I feel it will be great. I do have one report I need to work on for my boss. She doesn't need it for a few more days, but I will pop it out tonight while watching TV. I have all this energy now too :-). We can all thank Tim (the new personal trainer) for that one.
