Well, not really. I was expecting to get my carpets cleaned today and well, guess what. The darn order was never called in by the leasing office. And I am sure it was that freakin leasing agent who wasn't too on the ball when I went in to sign my lease (Yes, Jen, the same one who said "it took you long enough"). Not very happy just because I had to lock Simon and Sierra in the bathroom all day. Now I have to do it again. However it did lead to the funniest text message of the day -- Mike asking how he was supposed to get the cats back into the bathroom. Just picturing him herding the cats. Anyway. I expect it done this week and now I am also trying to think of something else they can do for me.....
And I went to vote today at my local polling place. The polling table was slow as molasses and seriously, there really weren't that many people. I think the old lady behind the table got overwhelmed because she just got up and walked away. Seriously. Without saying a word. They were rigging lights (it is really kind of dark in the Village Country Club) so I can understand some delay. But say, hey, this guy will be right with you, I am not the normal polling person and thanks for voting. Don't just pick your booty up off the chair and walk away. I was 2nd in line and it took me 30 minutes (all together -- but the bulk should be actually voting, not checking in!!!). Okay, that is off my chest. I voted, worked out and now I just need to relax and watch a little Election day coverage.
