Another Week Goes By

It was a pretty good week too. I didn't do too much outlandishly fun, but I had a good week. Ryan kicked my booty on Monday. I was sore for days!

We had a luncheon yesterday at work for Thanksgiving. One of the guys made brisket that smelled awesome. I am sure it tasted great. But, again, people seemed shocked I didn't eat meat. Um, we have had 2 or 3 luncheons before this and every time, they seemed shocked I don't eat meat. The same people..... And I get the same questions. Why, how long, how do you get protein, why do you still eat eggs and drink milk..... are you against all meat or what? People, people, I don't mind talking about my vegetarianism to you (well, now it is more like restricted meat eating since I do occasionally eat fish -- had to come back to Sushi.....). Just don't look at me like I am from Mars. I am not against eating meat, I just prefer not to do it. If organic/free range chicken was cheaper, I'd eat it. But, well, it is cheaper to keep it out of my diet. I don't care if someone else wants to eat meat in front of me. Your choice. Mike does, and I don't run screaming for the door. He even has been allowed to keep meat in my freezer. Nobody makes a big deal when I turn down asparagus and we ALL know how I feel about asparagus!!! So, yes, I drink milk and eat eggs but I only buy Organic (plus, it is free of the hormones, which is a whole other story!). Yes, occasionally leather slips onto my body, occasionally I will accidentally eat a soup that has beef broth instead of veggie broth. Don't do the "AHA!" thing. This is my choice to do my one thing for me. Okay, I got that off my chest.....

This weekend is going to be a lot more lowkey than last weekend. Tonight I am cooking dinner for Mike and I . I expect we will watch the Netflix copies of Curb your Enthusiasm and just have a nice evening in. I am not sure what else is planned for the weekend but I will be dropping off food to Jen for her church's food drive. I feel blessed and I know that others aren't so blessed so the food I deliver will help a family have a nice Thanksgiving dinner. I adopted an "Angel" from the Angel tree and I am looking forward to buying dollhouses and girl clothing. She is 5 :). I am pretty sure she is going to get a little Weeble doll play set. ( Mom, did you find my Weebles from when I was a kid?). Yes, I still love the Weebles. They apparently had a Haunted House and Ghost Weeble........ um, how did I miss out on that one, Mom and Dad??? :)

Have a wonderful weekend. Congrats to Jen on her 2 lb weight loss this week. She is such a rock star! And I love that I have someone who will email me and just ask about my workout schedule for the day (cardio tonight, by the way). She keeps me in line too. And she sends the BEST Weight Watchers recipes my way.

Later!
