The Weekend is Here!

Wow, it is finally Friday. I am glad it finally got here! I know I shouldn't wish time away, but well, weekends are always much better!

Yesterday, I went to a conference in Farmers Branch for work. It was pretty interesting -- I learned a few things that go on that don't have anything to do with my particular function. The funny thing of the day was that I had to run by Canon to pick up something. Not important what at this particular part of the story :=). I walk in and first of all, the downstairs is just completely tore up. I don't really care why until the security guard tells me she isn't sure she can tell me what is going on. Um, well, now I want to know! Kelly doesn't come out to see me since she is in a training class and then another lady comes downstairs to greet some other people in the lobby. This woman IGNORES me. Now, we weren't best friends when I worked there, but she needs to be a respectful person and acknowledge I am in the room. As I leave, I say HI and she goes all saccharine on me. Whatever. It was just a very odd experience. It was like I was some security threat or something. I laugh because I have access to a lot bigger things than that darn building!

The Art of Exotic Dancing group that I took my workshop through last year is doing a dance series at one of the local studios on Wednesday nights. I started last Wednesday and had a blast! There are 3 more weeks. I like the series version better than the workshop (3 hours/one day). I hadn't done it in awhile and so I was still a little self conscious, but it is nice to get that feeling of standing straight and walking with purpose. Women forget to do that and we could all use reminders! Plus, you really work your thighs when you do moves in heels...........

Mike and I are having dinner with my Parents on Saturday night, so that will be fun. He is out of school until the 28th and I am soooooo happy. I told him I am going to be very protective of my time with him in that time period!!!! (And he is okay with that :-)). I think tonight I am going to Michelle's to hang out. I haven't seen her in forever so it will be nice.
