My Night at the Ghost Bar

My friend Natalie knows everybody. It is absolutely amazing. And she knows people who can get you into places. So, last night, I allowed her connections to get us on the list for Ghost Bar, the new bar in the W hotel. This is apparently where all the pretty people of Dallas hang out... at least for now! One of her friends was working a party there so through her, we were able to get in. I am not sure what would have happened had we tried to get in as "normal people"!

First of all, I was having a clothing crisis. No idea what to wear and nothing fits anymore. While this is a good problem to have (everything is too big), it doesn't help when you need to look pretty hot. So, I finally decided on an outfit while Mike patiently waited on the couch. My hair wasn't behaving, my clothes weren't behaving. It was annoying. He has learned to just sit back until I stand in the living room, with keys in hand, announcing it is time to go. Pretty safe bet for him. Luckily, he is easy going.

We get there and Mike knows the bouncer! They apparently worked together a few years back, although at the time they couldn't place where they knew each other. We go in and have to wait behind the rope for the elevator (yeah, don't ask......). The bar is on the 33 floor of the W hotel, so up we went. Inside was pretty amazing. We have pictures so once Natalie sends them to me, I will post them. It was the best place to people watch. I even ran into someone I worked with at Canon -- and it was someone I never thought I would see there! It was so random. The Ghost Bar has a balcony that is see through all the way around so you can not only see out over Dallas, but you can see below you as well. I don't know how it was made, but it was pretty cool! The other balcony just had the glass view over Dallas, not under your feet.

We only stayed for a few hours but it was a pretty fun experience. We took pictures, walked around, ended up talking to some strange drunk woman about belly button rings and carrot juice. (I know how we started on the belly rings, I have NO idea where the carrot juice came into play.......). I didn't see anything too outrageous to mention here, just a lot of the "pretty people" dancing around and having a good time.

Okay, so that was my evening. Had a reassement with Ryan during my session and have lost inches and a few pounds. That is a very good thing! My hips are starting to budge some more. I am close again to another weight goal so that keeps me motivated. The only problem he sees is that I keep losing muscle mass so he upped my calories to counteract my spinning classes. I don't understand the science of it all, it just works in the end. That is all I care about. I will let him worry about why the body does what it does!

Have a great day!
