In favor of new things

This morning I tried my first Spinning class at the gym. I have to tell you, as much resistance as I put into actually taking the darn class, I found I really kind of loved it! Once I got over the whole "how the heck are you supposed to adjust this thing!" and got started, it was great. I am convinced I sweated out those two pounds I was trying to get rid of. So, yes, while I thought Ryan was crazy for telling me I had to go, I really do like it and it will be a new part of my cardio rotation. I just won't admit that I really liked it to Ryan. He would gloat that he was right.......:). Some guys in the class said this instructor wasn't as intense as some of the others, so I am eager to see what they are like. I might just go tomorrow and get on a Sunday spinning schedule.

Last night I tried the Hip Hop class. It confirmed what I already thought -- that I have no rhythm. No one else did either, but we had soooooo much fun!!!! It was actually a class full of newbies, so that made it less intimidating. If I have a chance to go on Friday nights to the class, I will, but sometimes people want to meet while the class is still going. It is more of one of those fun things I will do to move my body, but the cardio punch isn't there (unless I was really good at it and was practicing it over and over), so it can be an add in. I start a dance class on Wednesday nights at another studio, so that will be my dance for the week anyway! I have found that you can talk to more people in the classes than just on the cardio machines. And when I am with Ryan, I don't have an opportunity to interact with anybody else (besides the other trainers).

Well, that is it for today. I am going to get some stuff taken care of today before I meet up with Mike this evening. I am not sure what we have planned - probably the new Will Ferrel movie. Okay, Simon is meowing like crazy again, so I need to see what he wants!

Have a wonderful Saturday!!!
