Happy Friday!!!

I know everybody is waiting for the great things I did on my day off. Well, I did nothing. It was the greatest thing ever. Oh wait, I did actually have to drive to get my nails done and then to meet Michelle at Cafe Express. We ate, did some shopping and then I decided I needed a beer. It was my birthday and doggone it, if I wanted a beer at 2:00 PM, I was going to have one. So, she and I went to Trinity Hall, a great Irish pub in Mockingbird Station (for any Dallasites who want to know where it is) and we sat on the patio. And sat, and sat. Oh, and sat some more. :-). It was the best day ever!! We moved inside, watched the Olympics, chatted with the waiter, Taylor came up to say Happy Birthday before disappearing again. We left there at 8:00 and I went home to change because I was going out again. My friend didn't get off until later so I didn't get to see him until after 9ish. So, Michelle and I went out again to Humperdinks with him and had a little more fun. I think at this point, I was just eating all the fried food and not worrying about beer. She left, he and I then left and it was the end to a perfect day!!!

Now I am laughing as my soon to be ex coworker looks for his boots. WHy the boots were off in the first place, I REALLY don't want to know. Today is his last day and so they are harassing him. One of the boots was actually hidden in my filing cabinet. He found that one already. Need to head back over there so I can witness more of the fun. Seriously, how much more work can I really do on a Friday afternoon.

This evening will more than likely be low key. I am going to hit the gym and then watch movies. Sleep maybe. that just sounds perfect. Next week and weekend will be high strung, so I need something low key. Oh, and I have to get together with the parents to celebrate the birthday. Thai food, here I come!!! BTW, "Rent" comes out on DVD Tuesday. I am just saying........ Since my friend is out of town this weekend, I won't have to worry about seeing him. (I know everybody knows what 'friend' means, but I am in no way ready to talk about it. Sorry mom :-)).
