So, I wanted to get home a bit early on Friday so I left work at 4:00. I get on the train about 4:10. All was going along as scheduled until we hit the West End Station. We end up stopped there for about 15 min and the operator would come on and let us know we'd be stopped for awhile. After the 15 min, he comes on and tells us there is a serious situation at the Akard Station and he was going to back us up and there would be a bus bridge to St. Paul. Well, okay...... I was thinking a medical emergency or maybe a hit car. Yeah, no! We walk closer to Akard and see tons of cop cars and barricades. Definitely not a hit car or medical emergency. We have to walk around the building, head to the back streets of Downtown Dallas (I would never have tried that one on my own!), and then go back down to walk to St. Paul. There was a man threatening to JUMP from the parking garage at that location. We had heard he had already jumped but was later told he was still up there. When walking by, we did see 4 people up on the roof, so I chose to believe this person was still up there. Now, why this person chose a crowded location, during rush hour traffic on Good Friday to try to jump, I don't know. I hope he gets the help he needs. I did get in some cardio (walking) so that was a slight silver lining to the inconvenience. It was a freaky scene and it is weird to know that I will never know the outcome of something that crossed my path so dramatically! I never found it on the news so if someone does, please let me know!
When I finally got on the train at St. Paul, ready to head to Mockingbird Station, the guy sitting next to me was flossing his teeth. Sigh...........

I had just finished reading about that in the paper. The police coaxed him down after about an hour.
How rude of the man flossing his teeth. That is just something you don't do in public.
Our friend Jake was caught up in all that mess with you somewhere on one of the trains. What a nightmare!
And ew! Some dude flossing his teeth? Well, I'm glad he has good hygiene!!
