So, as we all know, I was excited to leave work early to hang out with Michelle. And hang out we did. I met her at Trinity Hall at Mockingbird Station. She was running behind but I had my trusty Kindle to get me through the rough 30 minutes of waiting. I love this little device. That isn't part of the story, but really, it was easy to just pull out of my purse and entertain myself. And I am in the process of reading a really good book, but that will be another blog post. I am half way done and once completed, I will give a review!
So, back to yesterday. Michelle comes with her mom and we start the fun. She brings me a stuffed little monkey from the Denver Zoo and a monkey twirly straw. The twirly straw comes in handy when you want to entertain the waitstaff and drink with it. We laughed and laughed for hours and then decided it was time to leave (after 4 hours and lots of stares from other patrons!) and headed to my place to get ready to go to Sushi Zushi for dinner. Taylor joins us at the restaurant for sushi and we laugh some more (I have considerably slowed down, however I like to think I got my second wind around 8 or so). After dinner, we headed to Milo Butterfingers to meet more friends out and subject them to our goofiness and tales of the Monkey at Trinity Hall. I don't think they thought it was as funny as we did. :). It was a long day and I am pretty tired today. I want to get some stuff done since I left early yesterday, but that isn't really happening. Blergh. I ate like crap yesterday so today is water, salad and a good run on the treadmill. Nothing else tonight though because I am super tired and I think rest is a better idea.
Everyone have a wonderful Friday. I will get some pictures of yesterday downloaded and posted. It was fun but we had to pack in A LOT since she was only here for a short period of time. I need to save up energy for the next visit :). Yeah, I am now thinking I owe a lot of pictures from a lot of events... now that I have reliable technology, I can deliver on those picture promises.
