I really should have stayed home to catch up on my sleep. But, the funny thing is I really didn't sleep that bad last night. Not sure why I am a zombie today! I know why I am sore, but really should still be wide awake.
Ryan, in his attempts to shake things up and in the process teach me some self defense, decided that he needed to teach me how to get out of a choke hold while on the ground. I really didn't object because it is actually very good knowledge to have these days. You never know what freakin crazy person waits around the corner! Anyway, Sunday I practiced throwing him off me over and over again. And I get tossed about too since he has to demonstrate how to actually do it. We only did this 10 minutes, but my goodness, it was a total body workout. I didn't think I would be this sore, but I guess it makes sense. If you throw a 180 lb man off you, over and over again, you are going to feel it. I have a couple of bruises too, but really it is all worth it. I like the fact that he can show me moves that can potentially save my life in the real world. I pray I never need them, but dang it, I am ready!
Now the goal is to get through today. I have a workout planned tonight and then on to work on two auditions. The Aqua one will be easy. I will find music and put exercises to it. Cycling is still my tough one. But if I get hired on with Aqua, I can always come back and re-do cycling. I still want to do that but I want to make sure I bring 100%. I took a Cycling class on Saturday and really, while she didn't stink, she wasn't the best teacher ever. I don't want people leaving my class saying that about me! :)
Okay, I gotta get to work. And try to figure out what I want for lunch. I am actually thinking veggie burger from across the street. I need to get out but it is too windy to really want to walk too far.
