Middle of the week fun update

Well, really nothing too exciting. I am kind of boring. I need to kick it up soon though (tonight, actually) because I have an open audition in less than one month. Audition?? What?? Okay, I am not turning into an actress :). In order to get hired on at 24 Hour Fitness as a Group X instructor, I have to show them my stuff. My stuff is not very good right now. My stuff is very rough and basic. I want to see you do an indoor cycle class and talk to a class at the same time (and remember to tell them everything they need to know)... if you can, then you can mock me (and you can also help me practice!!!). It is all very exciting but at the same time, I really wonder what the heck I am doing. So, I am just going to focus, focus, focus.... and find some wonderful current instructors to flatter and help me (you think I am kidding. The Group X manager actually told us to do this :)). There are several that just rock and I would love to get their knowledge embedded in my brain.

In my cert class, I met a current instructor, however she does Aqua currently. I never once thought about Aqua -- I have never even been to a class. However, after talking to her, I might just learn everything I can and go for that audition as well. She has even offered to help me. Just teach me everything she knows. I am amazed. These people are so helpful and positive and just fabulous. Such a far cry from where I work right now!!! So, April 12 is my drop dead date. There are audition dates at other times as well, however this one is in Addison (the other one is in Ft. Worth) and it gives me enough time to prepare. If I had to audition this weekend, I would surely not get hired! This is a baby step into a fitness career and I really want to see where it goes. (2 years ago I would have laughed at you had you said I would be doing this now!!!)

So, that is about it. Oh, and Fireside Pies is as good as Jen keeps saying. Yummy, yummy food and the most awesome gooey chocolaty dessert. Gooey and chocolate are two words that really do belong together :).
