The Weekend!

I have to say, I have been super exhausted all week long. Today is no exception. Aren't you supposed to feel energetic when working out and eating right??? I am starting to feel a tad bit energetic (got some cleaning done!) but it might be an early night for me. :)

So, Friday night I took Mom to dinner for her birthday. We went for sushi and it was so yummy. I turned Mom onto the Philadelphia Roll -- I started her off easy though. There are so many more sushi rolls she needs to try. But I like the Philly roll because of the cream cheese in the middle. :).

Saturday was super exciting with a trip to the vet for Simon (it was his annual exam, not related to his leg) and a trip for me to my wax lady. Simon did very well at the vet but apparently if you are cat and you loose 3/4 of a pound over a year, it alarms the vet. I thought that was very strange. But since there is nothing else wrong with that cat, he didn't seem to be TOO concerned. I know I am going to get a lecture on Sierra though. She seems to keep gaining weight. Anyway, we talked about super anxious Simon and the vet suggested Chamomile tea. Yes, you read that right...... it can't have any additives, but a little bit in his food and that should help. They have been testing it out with animals with aggression but he said it might help with Simon. So, we will try it and I will let you know!

Now, onto the main event this weekend. We had the Bridesmaid Luncheon today and it was so yummy. Thanks to Jen and her mom for treating us to a very nice meal. And we got our Bridesmaids gifts (as nice as they are, really, the true gift is standing by my friend as she marries the man of her dreams). Included were Flip flops!!! Very cute flip flops at that. We get to wear them to the reception -- how awesome not to have to run around in 3 1/2 inch heals for the evening. I love the shoes, but still. That wears on you :). And we got our jewelry for the wedding (it was beautiful too). She also got each of us a glass -- all the others got a martini glass and I got a wine glass. The reason for the difference is that this was painted glass and she gave me one that had a Paris theme. She had no option for a Paris martini glass. I loved that she put thought into each individual glass and made it something personal. Plus, the fact that I share Paris with her and she had that small detail in my gift was very special. (And, we got Godiva chocolates as well, along with the tote bags that Wendy worked on). Next weekend is the big day and I truly can't wait. I love Jen and I know she will have a beautiful marriage with David :). Okay, if I don't stop, I am going to cry. There will be plenty of that next weekend! (I think I need to go buy some water proof mascara......)

Have a great Sunday afternoon. I am thinking a nap is in order :). Later!

Aw! Thank you so much! I am so blessed to have a friend like you! I love you dearly, and I do love that we have Paris! (Somehow I don't think that will be the last of our adventures!)

You are a true treasure, and I love you so much!
