I was so excited this morning about Bubba coming to visit, I didn't blog about what was on my mind. I heard the "Breaking News" before I left for the office this morning -- Harriet Miers withdrew her name from nomination to the Supreme Court. They kept saying it was a "bombshell". Um, really, not so much! I could have predicted she wouldn't have made it to the Court. I am not too sure she is qualified for that role. Even Ann Coulter said 30 minutes before the announcement that Miers would never make the court. I don't really ever agree with that woman, but this time I did.
Anyway, those are my thoughts on that. It would have been interesting to see the confirmation hearings. Both sides weren't too impressed with her, so there might have been some fire works.

Yeah, I don't think Harriet "withdrew" her name. This smacks of carefully orchestrated GOP workings to me. What a big mess. Guess they had to do some housekeeping before all those indictments are handed out.
