My interview went amazingly well. I was so nervous before hand. Like nauseous, I want to throw up nervous. While talking to one of my co-workers, we pretty much figured out the nerves were due to the fact that this was the first interview in 5 years, A LOT has changed and that I really was just over thinking it. Once you get to a certain point, you need to sit back, relax and trust you are as awesome as you think you are. The hiring manager was also looking for more "soft skills', fit for the organization than actual HR skill sets. Now, I have a great personality but my great personality had to mesh with his great personality. Chemistry, culture fit, energy, all that fun stuff. He must have liked me because I have a second interview being scheduled next week. Whoot whoot!!! This is truly a growth position, it is mine to develop, to run, to make people want to come work there. I need to do some research on Zappos and Southwest, because these are two companies that he wants to model in terms of having a company that people want to come work for. And they are on the way. And as long as I don't doubt myself, I can go with them. I have been small for so long -- I KNOW I need to be big. I can't be afraid to be big. Because that is not what the universe wants for me. I have now noticed I am getting weirdly mystical so I will stop! :)
