I got in around noonish today and promptly came home and took a nap. I was rather tired but I did have to get up early to get ready to head to the airport at 7:30. That and I will take any excuse to take a nap :).
My meeting went very well and it was nice to get out of the office. I did get to actually go into downtown this time and Chicago is a beautiful place. Wednesday after the meeting, a group of us staying at the same hotel decided to hire a cab to check out downtown. Normally, without traffic, we were about 45 minutes from downtown. It took us 70 minutes with traffic (we weren't near a train station so don't ask why we didn't take the train!). I was hungry, tired and I had a headache so the cab ride was a little more than I wanted to do at that time. Once we got into the city, I found some Tylenol and actually began to feel better. We only had a short time so we just went to Navy Pier and hung out there. It was so nice and the weather was perfect. I even got a little chilly!!! I have some pictures on my cell phone so I will download them and post. I really fell in love with that place and will definitely go back when I have more than 3 hours and only one spot to see!!! Navy Pier was fun. I can only imagine what the rest of the city is like.
Last night I just had dinner with the ladies near the hotel and then I called it a night. Nothing too exciting but the food was pretty good. My plane ride today was awesome too. I had the emergency exit so there was plenty of leg space. Oh and when I got home, Simon just talked up a storm. Now that is what I expect from him when I get home!!!
Now I am just chilling. It was a good business trip but I am glad to be home. :). Have a great weekend!
