My Sunday

My Sunday will be spent at home, relaxing and doing chores. Wow, exciting I know :). I actually need to study a lot today and so, I am okay with staying home.

Last night I attended the Idlewild Ball with Taylor. I hadn't been in a long time and it was nice to go! I still have formal dresses in my closet and they still fit! They wouldn't have fit a year ago or maybe even 6 months ago, but dang, the dress I wore last night was just perfect. The only thing that changed was the location -- it was not at the Fairmont this time, but at the Anatole. The ballroom was just beautiful at the Anatole! I think they remodeled it but I can't be sure. Dinner was very good, but of course the main dish was beef. With, oh guess what.... asparagus. Yeah, no........ So, we asked if I could get a vegetarian meal which they were happy to accommodate. My dinner looked better than the others. I had some yummy couscous and bright veggies. The others at the table actually wanted what I had! It was pretty funny. And dessert was pecan encrusted ice cream with chocolate sauce. Always a good thing!

After dinner, there was the presentation of the debutantes. Yes, they still do that :). Then dancing, socializing and more dancing. We made it to the after party in another part of the hotel. I really liked the band - I think their name was Time Machine. Their band allowed for more dancing - at least for a couple of hours. I took a few pictures on my cell phone. I will see how good they actually are and post if I can :).

Well, I am gonna take off now. I am looking through all my catalogs and magazines as well today. They have piled up and need to be recycled. I might take this time to mark in the Pottery Barn catalog what I want for Christmas. I may not get it, but hey, its nice to wish :).
