Quick Weekend Run Down

Okay, here is a quicky. It is Monday morning and I leave out from CA today. Although I do miss my home and my boyfriend and my fur children, I love it here and will definitely miss my family and the awesome CA weather. I love that it is 85 degrees here (although, they seem to think this is hot.... try 85 or higher with the awesome humidity of TX. Then we will talk hot....).

The reception Saturday was so fun! The back yard looked awesome and almost everything went on without a hitch (my Aunt Gail has a fabulous backyard!). The food was supposed to be there at 2:30. The food arrives at 3:40. Keep in mind the party started at 4. We did not have a happy bride. But, I do give her credit, she was pretty mellow about everything else, so this really was an okay time to get mad. If you say you are going to be there at 2:30, be there at 2:30. Especially if you know there is a party starting. While it obviously didn't ruin our fun time, you just don't stress out a bride (even if she is already married - this was the extension of the marital festivities) and her mother. Kelsey hadn't heard the term Bridezilla until I mentioned it (I told her that I was impressed that she was pretty calm and mellow about the whole thing. ) She did very well. I think Gail did too but I am sure my mom will hear all about things that I didn't even know happened when Gail returns from Mexico. (However, Kelsey's reception did kind of make me think it is a good idea to elope and then just come back for a big a** party...... She was less stressed than she'd have been had she been actually getting married that day.)

Kelsey's song turned out very well. She sounded beautiful. I got some video on my handy camera, but you really can't tell how well we did. Chloe decided to do some dancing in front of us so that helped relax her. Chloe did a lot of dancing at this party. Definitely a girl from this family :). We danced, drank, laughed and partied into the night. I'll post pictures when I get home, by the way!!!

Anyway, the rest of the weekend was pretty low key. I hung out with Katie and Chloe on Sunday and then was whisked away by my Aunt Polly to her house. They have a hot tub and well, hot tub kind of trumps baby. (But baby trumps everything else, so really, Chloe wins out most of the time in my book :)). So, I had dinner with Polly, Bart and Rynnie (yummy stuff too!), sat in the hot tub and relaxed and then got to talk to my honey. I am glad I got to spend some time with KaRyn, because she is headed to Boston today for Grad School. Good luck to her!

Well, I think that it about it. Polly has Chloe so I am going to pack and work out so when she gets back, I can play with her and not have to worry about other things. I leave for the airport at about 1:30, so I have some time to relax. It is going to be a long travel day so I need to enjoy the rest while I can get it.
