I actually have news!

Wow, I haven't had news in awhile (besides my CA trip). Anyway, I have decided to move to a new apartment. Okay, so it is the same complex, but since I have been in my current apartment FOREVER, it was about time. I wanted more space and I will be going to a 2 bedroom. It really isn't too much more than what I am paying now either. That is pretty cool. I went to look at the new unit yesterday and it is pretty nice. They are still working on it so there was no carpet, but I have a good imagination. The kitchen is a tiny bit smaller but it has a walk through, meaning I can go in one way and exit in the dining room. The bedrooms are the same size I have now and the living room is a bit bigger. I like the layout -- last night I was truly wondering, but I can now see myself living there. And there is a washer/dryer -- one of my requirements! I was a tad spoiled with the current unit. I do have a microwave already installed in the new apartment so if you know of anybody who wants an old one, I would be willing to sell. I have had it for years, but it still works! I haven't decided yet, but I might not use my table in the new place so I might be looking to sell it too. I will let you know.

I did realize I will be moving in late July. Dang it will be hot!!! I do plan to hire movers to do the heavy stuff. Yes, it is across the parking lot. I am strong enough to help move a couch up the stairs. Doesn't mean I want to :). Plus, I have some time between the new and old apartment so I can move in spurts. That will be nice. I am getting excited although ask me in the middle of all this how I feel. I will be cursing the day I made the decision........ :). I am looking forward to seeing the cats try to get used to the new place. It is always funny to watch them get their bearings! (And I will also be doing a lot cleaning out of stuff in the next few weeks. I am going to Chicago the week before I start moving, so I want to get the bulk of it done ASAP.)

No baby brother. He didn't come in last week, but that's cool. He will just head to Thailand without seeing me. Mom and Dad are doing their CA trip at the end of the week, so it will be up to me to hold down the fort in Dallas.
