This was a good weekend. Friday night I met Mia, Jen and Angela at Parma in Lewisville for dinner. It was, as always, very yummy. I also finally got to give Mia her birthday present (she had to miss our joint birthday dinner due to the flu!) so that was fun. And, yeah, I got mine :).
Saturday was pretty busy. I started at 8:30 with the spin class. I don't know why - I think it was the bike - but it was much harder than the 24 Hour spin class. Same time frame, I just kept getting super high heart rate readings and very out of breathe. It felt great and I actually liked seeing scenery while doing a "ride". I made it through, but I was exhausted after I completed it! Jen was due at my place at 11:30 so I had a little time to clean up and rest. Luckily we were headed to the MAC counter for make overs (just for fun.... we were being girly) and so I didn't have to worry about makeup. I did, however, have wonderful red marks due to the sweat and heat on my skin. I looked like a leper. Kind of like my hives, just very temporary! Jen and I went to the MAC counter, got all glamed up and then had lunch at a new place in the mall -Kona. They have an awesome happy hour -- appetizer prices that are just great. You wouldn't think a place in the mall would be a happening hang out, but it really is a fun place. (Happy Hour is only for the patio and bar area, just in case you were intersted). (By the way, we tried the new Barbie for MAC collection. The makeup artist tried this pink lipstick on me. It was a pretty color.... just not on me. On the way to lunch, I was wiping it off....... all the other colors looked great on me though :)).
My Dad's birthday was on Saturday as well. He turned 60! Wow. Happy Belated blog mention :). We had dinner at Mariano's -- awesome Mexican food and the home of the first ever frozen margarita! They have great margaritas and pretty awesome salsa for the chips. (This has apparently turned into the weekend restaurant review......).
Sunday I woke up with a migraine. Argh! I HATE those. (like I am going to love them.....). I had to cancel Ryan that morning and really got no working out done on Sunday. I finally felt better and went with Mike to Frisco to visit an old friend of his (along with Mike's roommate and that roomies girlfriend). It was a lot of fun and pretty interesting to see Mike interact with someone from his past. The friend is married with a little one, so I spent a lot of the day talking to his wife and playing with the kid. All in all, it was a lot of fun.
So, today I got back into work. Yippee..... finally got my expense report done. I don't know why it took me so long, but I finally got it to my PM. I think that was the extent of my production today. Oh well. There is always tomorrow! (And, I did get some more things done. I wasn't a lazy brat today. )
So, happy Monday night. I think I am going to curl up with a movie and get myself relaxed so I can get some sleep. Good night!
