The Week

I got back from Corpus last night and let me tell you, it was a great trip. My hotel was right on the beach! I haven't been to the beach in forever and it was so beautiful. The hotel clerk gave me a room looking over the beach, so I got to keep my patio door open, listen to the waves and seagulls and relax. I played on the beach a little too. It was so nice and relaxing. The first night I was there, I just ate dinner and then went to bed pretty early. The second night, I hung out at the lounge in the hotel -- it over looks the water. I met this couple visiting from Iowa. They were pretty nice. I had seen the guy around the hotel, but I hadn't seen her until that night. The bartender made great pina coladas (I had one for Jen :)) and told jokes all night. This cracked me up though -- they said one of the places they wanted to eat at was the Whataburger. Um huh!!!???? They don't have them in Iowa. It just made me laugh my booty off. (Whataburger field is in Corpus so they had seen the sign and decided that they needed to check out the fast food). My one drink and back to my room plan turned into laughing and talking for 3 hours. I had to drag myself away since I did have to be coherent at work!!! (And in the airport on the way home, I met a lady who worked at Whataburger - in purchasing. )

I really liked my visit to our Corpus Area Office. Everyone was really nice and I got to meet a lot of people who I talked to off and on. Some of my problem children are in Corpus so it was also nice to meet them. This is going to be my last trip out for CPR. They have me doing so much other stuff, it just makes sense to give my final trip to someone else!

I really did not want to be up today. I am soooooo tired. It is a little better since lunch, but this morning was horrible. I left my brain at home. I need to hit the gym and then it is home to go back to sleep. I need it :).
