The Week that was

So, this week actually went by pretty quickly. I had to go to Austin on Thursday for work so that kind of pushed things along. I got back late last night to mad little fur babies. They are just never happy when momma goes out of town. I had to go to the Austin Area office to teach CPR/AED training. It was pretty fun and the people in the office were very nice. It was pretty productive but all I had was the crappy hotel treadmill to work out on -- so I plan to hit the gym pretty hard this morning. Pilates is at 12:30 and I am in serious need of core/stretching. I hurt my left arm on Wednesday with Ryan -- tried to lift a little too much weight. It feels better now, but stretching will help it even more!

Tonight is my shared birthday dinner with Mia! We have the same birthday day, birth year. All pretty awesome. I can't imagine sharing a birthday with a better person. Luckily we all like sushi :). It will be a blast and I am sure some stories will come from that. I just have to figure out what to wear. What I really want to wear seems very impractical for winter time so we'll see...........

So, yes, my birthday is this week. It isn't until Thursday and I have to go through Valentine's day to get to it, but I turn 35 this week (but don't worry, Valentines day is still important!). I like Jen's thirty faux (although, now that I remember, I think that was a SATC thing too). It does seem a little better than my celebrating the 8th Anniversary of my 27th birthday. At least it shows that I acknowledge I am in my 30s....... :). I won't get all sentimental just yet since I do have 5 days and I need to get ready to go to the gym..... he, he! But it will call for a lot of reflecting (probably all internal -- you might not get to read about all of it). I am pretty happy all in all about where I am though. All the choices I have made in the past make me who I am today. I have awesome friends in my life, people who I know would be with me in a heart beat if something happened. And they know that I would drop anything to come to them. We have weddings this year, I am sure someone will get preggers soon (um, not me........) and we'll have some ups and downs. I have great parents who support me in all that I do, although sometimes they wonder what the heck is up. I also have the best boyfriend in the world. I am grateful I met Mike and very happy he is in my life. He is also included in the awesome friend section, so that is all........ :).

So, that actually might just be my reflecting post! Have a great weekend!!!

I just want to throw out there that I won't be the preggo, either.

Your party was fun! I am so glad we all got together! Dave and I decided that when Mike passes his MCATs we want to host a party for him to celebrate!

And yes, "thirty-faux" was totally an SATC thing! :)

Happy pre-birthday!!
