Sigh....

No, I really have things to do today. I got the bulk of things done, so now I am just waiting on people. That stinks, but that gives me a chance to catch up on blogging. It has been awhile and I am sure everyone is just dying to know what I did this past weekend. :).

My cousin Amy had her baby this weekend. She had a little girl, Madison. Madison was a little early (well, a lot early. She was due on my birthday!). Apparently she is very healthy and I get to meet her this coming weekend. I have a slight sore throat which better go away. I doubt I will be allowed to get near Madison if this continues. Her baby shower is this weekend so that will be fun. I get to go to Target and look lost in the baby section. Always amusing :). What else does a newborn need besides onesies and diapers? I don't think much more!!! Well, since it is winter, I might need to get a few blankets. She is so tiny though - 4.4 lbs. She does live in OK so a trip is necessary to go to the baby shower. But that is cool! So, there are two babies on either side of the family we get to ooh and aww about!

This past weekend I also went to a bridal show in Ft. Worth with Jen, Mia and Angela. It was a lot of fun, and I did get to taste the cake Jen will have at the reception. They will have to drag me away from the cake table. That stuff is good! Very moist cake. We tasted another vendor's cake and truthfully, Jen's vendor was MUCH better. We (everyone than obviously Jen) met her coordinator at the reception site and Jacklyn (sorry Jen, if I spelled it wrong!) is very sweet. Also very on her game. We will definitely have a blast at the reception. As long as I don't go on a major sugar high from the cake :).

Other than that, I just got to hang out with Mike. That was very nice! We watched the Colts/Patriots game on Sunday night. Now, I am not a huge non-A&M football fan, but that was a great game. I will be rooting for the Colts in the Super Bowl. So, yes, I know who's playing, and what date it is on. Not that anyone had doubts, but in years past, I really could care less who played.

Okay, I think it is time to get back to work. The only amazingly fun thing this week is adding more cardio back into my schedule. I did a re-assessment last night with Ryan. I wasn't too happy, but it was all my fault. I was a cardio slacker. So, back to it I go. I don't want to have to sit there and say, yeah I know exactly what happened, had all the control in the world and didn't do anything to change it. Gonna change it now!

Later!

I know Ryan said that honesty doesn't excuse anything, but I disagree. You weren't making excuses. You owned up to an assessment you didn't like and you're making the necessary adjustments. I know all about stumbling along the way. It's just part of our journey. You look amazing and no matter if you had a great assessment or a less than perfect one, I love you and think you are wonderful! :)
