Friday afternoon! The Friday before Christmas. The Friday before my week long "vacation" begins. I put vacation in quotes, because this next week will be spent home in Dallas, no place exotic. But that is perfectly okay. More than likely I will do girly things like Manicures, Pedicures, facials and massages. Oh yeah, and spend time with Mike....... :). I will also spend a little more time at the gym since I will have more time. I really need to go now because lunch has made me very full. Plus, Paradise Bakery has some yummy cookies. It is in my calorie count and I made a conscious choice to "cheat". It was very worth it. So that probably means no wine tonight though! It is all about trade offs. Funny Downtown Dallas sighting. I was walking to the Bank of America building and ran into my Dad. On the streets of Downtown. I think he almost walked past me. Mom, hit him for that! :). I still look the same with my hair pulled back! He doesn't normally work in Downtown (although when he does, he is in the other Federal Building) so it was kind of a surreal thing :).
3 hours and I get to leave. I don't think we are getting out early for the holidays. They don't shut the office down. Although there is nobody here and the parking lot is slowly emptying. I could take off early and use PTO, but really, there is no point. I am off all next week anyway. I have all my Christmas shopping done. I can't wait to see what I got and to give mine away! I really can't wait to see Mike's reaction to mine :). I think it is pretty awesome. I hope he loves it. If not, well, I can always use it!!!! It was a flash of brilliance that I am very proud of :). Can I build this up much more!!!??? He, he.
If I do not get to blog over the next few days, I want to wish everybody a wonderful and safe Christmas. I am planning to meet Jen and Mia for a Christmas Eve brunch (which, actually would make an awesome tradition. Although I guess we need to do one first.............). That will be awesome. Then whatever from there. I do want to go to a Christmas Eve church service as well. I think we have that one pretty much taken care of.

while only a few people will get why I am posting the words to Santa Baby, I am still gonna do it!
Santa Baby
written by J. Javits and P. Springeroriginally
sung by Ertha Kitt
"Santa baby,
slip a sable under the tree,
for me
I've been an awful good girl
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa baby, an out-of-space convertible too, light blue
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Think of all the fun I've missed
Think of all the fellas that I haven't kissed
Next year I could be oh so good
If you'd check off my Christmas list
Boo doo bee doo
Santa honey,
I wanna yacht and really that'sNot a lot
I've been an angel all year
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa cutie, there's one thing I really do need, the deed
To a platinum mine
Santa cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa baby, I'm filling my stocking with a duplex,
and checks
Sign your 'X' on the line
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Come and trim my Christmas tree
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's
I really do believe in you
Let's see if you believe in me
Boo doo bee doo
Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing, a ring
I don't mean a phone
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight"
