Friday Afternoon

Well, the week is over and I am very happy for that. I was pretty productive today. Not only did I get some actual work done, I even got some gifts ordered online. I think I have the perfect gift for Mike, but since he reads this blog, I am not saying anything else! Mia and Jen know what it is though and they think it is good. So there. (Mom, I can tell you later :)). One more week before my brother comes home! So cool. I still have to run and get his present. I am not sure if he reads my blog or not, so I won't say what I am getting him either. I do know what I am doing though. Wow, just a blog of secrets today, huh!!! I did get my doll house for the Angel Tree here at work. I started with a Barbie Princess house, but I decided that to make that fun, I'd have to get her a Barbie too. And than she'd only have one doll..... so, I went and found a really cool doll house that has all the parts and 4 little people and a doggy. And it was reasonably priced and actually what you would picture a dollhouse looking like. I would have loved it at age 5. I do need to find a Toys for Tots to give the other doll house to. I know I could take it back, but some little girl would enjoy that toy.

This evening is Jen's bridal party gathering at her place. I am really looking forward to it. For some reason I have been wanting Champagne and darn it, I am taking it tonight. Mia apparently has had the same craving, so it is all good. It should all be fun. Getting us all together is usually a riot. And there is nothing better than bonding with girlfriends to give renewed energy. Plus, lots of good food and drinks :). I am sure I will have plenty to write about later on.

I need to get some things done before I leave for the day. Mike is next door at the Convention Center doing registration for the "Rock" marathon on Sunday. I am going to see him before heading home. Then I have to make the brownies and go by the store. Luckily I don't have to be at Jen's until 8:00, but I do want to get in some rest time! I am actually going to skip the gym tonight -- I really do need a rest!
