Man, I thought I was going to do well with my blog, but that apparently didn't happen. Life goes by so quickly and poof, it is October! I love this cooler weather. The windows have been open more and more - loving that because it leads to lower electric bills. (Which, this summer, they actually weren't bad, even with a man who kept the apartment super cold).
I really should be asleep by now but nope, here I lie, playing on the computer. Lucy is getting less and less rambunctious. Well, she is still in kitten mode but she doesn't seem to have to be on Fuzzy 24/7. She gives him breaks. She is so in love with her big brother. Fuzzy does actually snuggle (we have proof) - he just doesn't like to admit it too much. They are very cute and add a lot of laughter to the house. That I am grateful for. I can't imagine a home without pets. We were talking last night about how Lucy is a very lucky kitty. She hit the spoiled rotten household. If I had a bigger space and could hold more cats, you know I would. But for now, we have to keep it at 2. It's funny - I have tons of pictures of them on my phone - they just have not made it to the laptop.
So, this whole government shutdown is pissing me off. It if made sense, I might be okay with it. But I know too many people out of work because grown adults in DC are acting like 2 year olds. I actually know 2 year olds who act better than they do. Come on - compromise is NOT a dirty word. I don't think it matters that they will be paid when this crap is over -- they should be working and getting paid now. They have bills and families and food to put on the table. People is DC - get your act TOGETHER! Stop playing with the lives of people. The people you are supposed to be serving. Stop the blame game. It's getting old.
Okay, enough of that. I will leave you all with the new find - Pumpkin Eggnog. Not sure if it was around last year -- it is new to me! Yummy!!!
Everyone have a great Wednesday (HUMP day!!!)
