Snow!!!

I have never seen anything like it in Dallas. I think the final total was 12.5 inches and it is beautiful. Yesterday, work sent out a message that we were having a delayed opening at 10, which would have been fine. However, DISD announced it was closed Friday by 6 PM on Thursday night. They weren't even doing the normal "wait and see". That kind of confused me since we always follow DISD. I got a text from a co-worker that we were indeed closed for the day. I had stuff I could have actually done from home, however silly me, didn't bring it home. I've gotten some cleaning done and I need to make a trip to Target. I am sure the roads aren't that bad at this point in time. And I need to get out of the house!

Simon was very excited about a snow day. I opened the blinds and he really, really thought he wanted to go out on the patio. Yeah, one foot out the door, and his little furry butt was back in the warmth. So funny! Sierra didn't even try. She's smart. :)

That's it for snow day. This weekend will prove to be fun. I have no idea what the plans are -- they are up in the air, but it is Valentine's weekend, so something better happen :). Oh yeah, I am also preparing to turn a year older on Monday. I haven't decided if I am going willingly or kicking and screaming. You might have to wait until Monday to hear my answer on that :). I do have to say, a 4 day weekend really does help the mood!!
