Well, what happened this weekend......:) Yeah, I can't even keep that going! This past weekend was Jen's fabulous wedding. I swear, I spent most of the weekend in happy tears. I took Friday off to get all pretty and hit the Nail Bar with Jen, Mia and her mom. Mimosas and beauty... what else could you ask for? And then, I spent the day with Jen. And let me tell you, it was very special. I didn't feel like I did too much, but apparently having me there helped keep the happy bride calm. Glad I was good for something :). The first time I saw the dress "live", I was about to lose it. I had seen pictures, but seeing it in her parent's house made it seem all to real. The rehearsal and following dinner were fun as well. I love Angela's house and backyard and any party back there is a blast!
Saturday was the big day! I was at the church at 2, we got all dressed and had pictures done. I LOVED my dress and shoes and could have just run around in them all day!!! And all that working out did pay off :). But the first time I saw Jen in her dress, I was teary eyed. She looked so beautiful. The dress was perfect for her. The time came to walk down the aisle and truthfully, I was trying to hold it together. Half way down I felt the tears hit. Then up at the alter, I had a hard time holding it together. And then came the time for her to walk down the aisle. I couldn't see her but I watched David. And then I almost lost it again. His face changed when he saw her and you could tell that his true soulmate was coming down the aisle. I can't really explain it but it was amazing. It was such a short and sweet ceremony. 20 minutes! Which was good -- because even though I loved the shoes, they were hurting the heck out of me just standing there!!!!
The reception was held at the City Club in Ft Worth -- we had a blast. I told Jen I was going to steal the idea for the mashed potato bar and her DJ Melody. The DJ was awesome!!! We danced and danced into the night. I was so sore on Sunday morning! I got home about 2 am but it was so worth it. I hope the newlyweds have fun in Jamaica!!!! Now, for the rest of us, it is back to normal life. I went to Palamino tonight to hang out with Michelle -- however I missed the end of the Monday Nite football game. I guess that's cool since I barely knew who was playing anyway :).
So, I am off to bed! Have a great Tuesday!!!
