I just returned from our holiday party at the Mansion on Turtle Creek. It was amazing! The food was great, decorations were beautiful and the wine was awesome! I don't even want to know how much the whole thing cost, but man, it was worth it. It was a nice end to a very interesting year. And, in a nice surprise, we even got a Christmas bonus. That really did surprise me, but it was a pleasant surprise (duh!!!). It will definitely help in buying the gifts I want to for the people who really helped me throughout the year.
Now onto the White Elephant gift exchange. Um, I ended up with a Clapper. Yes, clap on, clap off, the Clapper. If anybody needs a gag gift, I really have no problems with letting this go. I ended up giving Christmas CDs. I should have stolen them back -- one of them had "The Chipmunk Song" and "Grandma got run over by a reindeer". I was singing "I'm Gettin' Nothin' for Christmas" all through Target. The check out lady was highly amused. Can you imagine if I had found a CD with the Hippo song!!!! I did at one point have a massager and a cool candle set, but those were stolen from me. Mean, mean co-workers!!!!
